COURSE POLICIES

Services: 
  • ​Our deck is open
  • We have a great selection of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for sale in our Clubhouse and on our Snack Cart. Bringing Personal Alcohol to our course and facilities is strictly prohibited.
  • ​Cleansing and disinfecting practices are in place before and after power carts , pull carts and tempo walk rentals.
  • We have a good compliment of merchandise in our Pro-shop and we continue to build our offering based on your feedback.
Tee Times:
  • Preferably scheduled Tee times will be spaced 10 minutes  apart.
  • Call the Pro-shop for a tee time.  (780)-674-5059.
  • Please Enter The  Pro-shop upstairs to register.
  • Maximum people per tee time is 4.
  • Arrive 10 minutes before you’re tee off time to check in.

Payment: 
  • Debit or Credit Card and Cash are accepted. 


Equipment:
  • Power Carts, Tempo Walkers and Rental Clubs are available.
  • Score cards are available upon request.



MEMBERSHIP
Membership must be paid in full to be valid. Unpaid members must pay regular green fees until dues are settled.
Membership Types
  • Adult: Age 18–54 as of April 1.
  • Senior: Age 55+ as of April 1.
  • Junior: Age 14–17 as of April 1.
  • Youth: Age 6–13 as of April 1.
  • Family: Two adults and two children; additional children subject to fees.
  • Children under 5: No membership required but must be accompanied by an adult.


RATES
  • Membership fees and green fees are set by the Board.
  • Membership dues are payable by May 1.
  • After May 1, unpaid members lose privileges and must pay green fees until dues are paid.
  • Private cart trail fees apply.
  • Early-bird rates may be offered annually.
  • Members will be notified of fee changes by email.
  • All fees are listed in Appendix A.


MEMBERSHIP AND CART RENTAL REFUNDS
Membership and annual cart rental fees are generally non-refundable.
Refund requests due to illness, injury, or extenuating circumstances must be submitted in writing to the Board.
If approved:
  • Refunds will be pro-rated from the date of written request.
  • No refund requests will be considered after August 1.


TEE TIMES
  • All golfers must register at the clubhouse before play.
  • Tee times may be required during busy periods.
  • Groups are generally limited to four players.
  • Tee times may be booked up to 7 days in advance.
  • Cancellations must be reported to the pro shop promptly.


LEAGUES
Ladies League
  • Monday evenings, 9 holes.
  • Start times:
    • May 1–Aug 15: 6:00 PM
    • Sept 1–End of Season: 5:30 PM
  • Organized by a volunteer.
  • Open to members and non-members.
  • Fees set by the Board.
Men’s League
  • Wednesday evenings, 9 holes.
  • Same seasonal start times as Ladies League.
  • Volunteer-organized; open to members and non-members.
Seniors League
  • Thursday mornings, 9 holes.
  • Start time: 9:00 AM.
  • Volunteer-organized; open to members and non-members.
Youth League
  • May operate based on demand.
  • Typically 9 holes starting at 5:30 PM.
  • Volunteer-organized; open to members and non-members.


LESSONS AND CLINICS
Lessons and clinics may be offered periodically.
  • Fees must be approved by the Board and cover program costs.
  • Thursday at 4:30 PM is reserved for youth lessons.


DRESS CODE
Golfers must wear appropriate attire at all times. Shirts and shoes are required.
Prohibited attire includes:
  • Gym shorts or short shorts
  • Cut-offs
  • Excessively revealing clothing
  • Dirty clothing
  • Improper footwear (e.g., boots, cleats, or footwear that can cause damage to the course or facility)
Dress code is posted in the pro shop.


POWER CARTS AND TEMPO WALKS
  • Cart restrictions may be imposed due to course conditions.
  • Carts may not be driven on greens, tees, or restricted areas.
  • Maximum two riders per cart.
  • Drivers must be 16+ years old.
  • Renters must be 18+ with a credit card deposit.
  • Liability waiver required.
  • Handicap flags may be issued to permit limited closer access to greens.

PRIVATE CARTS
  • Members with paid trail fees may allow others to use their carts.
  • Carts must be mechanically sound.
  • Drivers must be 16+.
  • Trail privileges and fees are set by the Board.
  • Non-member carts must pay daily trail fees.

CART SHED
Cart shed stalls are owned by PRGCC and rented to members in good standing.
Key rules:
  • Annual fees due May 1.
  • Rental term: May 1–April 30.
  • Stalls are non-transferable and may not be sub-leased.
  • Waiting list managed by the Pro Shop Director.
  • The Board may reassign stalls as required.


TEMPO WALKS AND PULL CARTS
  • Tempo Walks: daily rentals and seasonal passes available.
  • Pull carts: daily rentals available.
  • Equipment must be returned to the pro shop in original condition.
  • Fees listed in the rate schedule.


LOCKERS
  • Available to members and non-members for seasonal rental.
  • Lockers must be emptied by October 15.
  • Members supply their own locks.
  • PRGCC is not responsible for lost items.


RULES OF PLAY
  • All players must register before play.
  • Golf Canada rules apply unless modified locally.
  • Groups limited to four unless approved by the Pro Shop.
  • Slow groups must allow faster groups to play through.
  • Players must repair divots and rake bunkers.
  • Grounds staff have right of way.


DISCIPLINE
Members and guests must conduct themselves respectfully.
Bullying, harassment, or abusive behaviour will not be tolerated.
The Board may impose disciplinary action under the by-laws.


ACCOUNTS
Members with unpaid fees or debts lose membership privileges until balances are paid. Continued non-payment may result in suspension.


PERSONAL PROPERTY AND LIABILITY
Members are responsible for their personal property.
PRGCC is not liable for injuries or lost property.


LOCAL RULES
Local course rules are posted on scorecards or by the Director of Membership and Member Relations.


ALCOHOL
  • Alcohol may only be sold to patrons aged 18+.
  • ID required for anyone appearing under 25.
  • Outside alcohol is prohibited.
  • Violations may result in removal without refund.


RAIN POLICIES
Rain checks may be issued depending on holes completed and course conditions.
Specific rules apply for tournaments, member events, and green-fee players.


GIFT CERTIFICATES
Gift certificates may be used for:
  • Pro shop merchandise
  • Green fees
  • Cart rentals
  • Membership dues
They have no cash value and do not expire.


CLUB TOURNAMENTS
  • Entry fees must be paid at registration.
  • Events proceed rain or shine unless the course is unplayable.
  • No day-of refunds.


SHOTGUN STARTS
Play begins only after the shotgun signal.
Players must report to assigned tees 15 minutes prior.


SMOKING AND VAPING
Smoking and vaping are prohibited within 5 metres of club facilities and on greens.
Cannabis use must comply with Alberta law and is prohibited during youth events.
HANDICAPS
Paddle River Golf and Country Club does not administer, verify, or enforce official handicaps and is not affiliated with Golf Canada, Alberta Golf, or the World Handicap System. Any handicap tracking or score posting is the responsibility of the individual golfer using third-party systems. Course ratings are provided for reference only, with no guarantee of external acceptance. The Club does not review, validate, or audit scores or handicap calculations. A shared computer is available for optional use, but PRGCC assumes no responsibility for third-party systems or data accuracy. Club events are not typically based on verified handicaps and may rely on self-declared values at the Club’s discretion.
